In the community we live there are not many places to congregate together and many are indoor spaces that don't give a proper space children to explore there motor skills, hand-eye coordination, or get daily exercise without potentially knocking over a ceramic cup. Also adults didn't have access to a place either to strengthen there body through climbing and balance. I tried to really look at what was missing in our community that made it difficult for play and these types of activities to occur. It then dawned on me how much in my youth my parents would take me to the playground to play with on a large structure that also many other kids from the neighborhood would play at as well. I began researching how much it could cost to develop a playground and found that it could easily be done much cheaper then many other projects seeking funding to improve the community space. For around 10,000 we could have a fully interactive playground filled with picnic tables, climbing structures, rain covers, solar lighting, garden spaces, and even a small stage for community gatherings. In some ways it brings the creative energy into the permaculture space. I want to help encourage this aspect of how we connect our lives together as a community to nature, ourselves, and each other and truly begin to understand how permaculture zones look like if we really get the essentials in our shared public spaces. How much more we could then organize our energies together once we've played together.

Now our project has so far received 5,000 dollars already and so we are already half way to our initial startup budget to get this 1st playground underway and our building design accepted by the community committee. If we go beyond this startup budget though we could expand our project to build more playgrounds for other nearby public areas so the accessibility to each playground  space is not out of our reach. If this really takes off I'll turn this love project of mine into an organization that begins to take more responsibility for proper public land management and looking for ways to make more inviting public spaces for everyone in this community. Our 1st supporter of 5,000 dollars has really inspired us to dream big and believes we may be on to something that could really change how our community connects to one another. In exchange for her support she will be receiving a plaque and piece of art representing her vision of how this work can change the world. For other donators we have this option. For others who are in Costa Rica but don't live not within our region you have the option of hiring our team to build a playground/community gathering space specifically near your community. We also have the option of staying in our community for a week for your contribution, producing an event at the public location, or the possibility to add a feature to the design with the help of our team making it a reality. We look forward to building a world where more spaces invite creativity and play into solving our other challenges in creating a better world.
