The vision, regenerating the land into a food forest and wildlife habitat to create a safe space for humanity to live and witness the harmony of nature. I have been hosting seasonal gatherings to celebrate the transitions with the earth as well as monthly gatherings to bring together community spirit. The impact has been shared with me, a day, an evening, a weekend, or a week, this land wants the people to come, listen to her. I am stewarding this land to be a safe haven for generations to come. A vision of my brother and I, my brother has completed his masters in social work and would like to eventually open up a practice on the land for art, music, and movement therapy. We are ready to share this space with the public to help heal, connect, and soothe the people.
My dream for this land...
Our society is struggling to find connection, to earth, others, and self. A world where you don't know where to go or what to do... Both humans and wild life. The earth is desperately calling us to come back to her. To spend time with her, listen & learn from her.
When COVID lockdown began I was living on the land in Australia, an education center, healing the earth through regenerative agriculture, healing each other through friendship, connection, laughter, & healing ourselves with meditation and reflection. This is what the earth wants for us.
After backpacking my way through the world I was blessed to be growing my own food with artists, musicians, healers, teachers, farmers. This is the community so many of us are craving and unable to find. I was lucky enough to be locked down with while the world shut down. This is what I want to create on my homeland.
My dream is to keep this land conserved for wild life and create an education center for families to come connect to the earth, others & self.
A food forest & education center to host & teach about. To let children wander and observe, to coexist with the earth without taking too much. My home of Rhode Island is being destroyed for developments and I am searching for ways to pay for our family land and create something for all beings to enjoy.
The land, 30 acres in West Greenwich RI, has been in my family since my grandfather bought it in the 60's and started a Christmas tree farm with his brother and my dad at age 7... My father inherited 30 acres of the untouched land while his brothers received the developed / business portions. We have not associated with them in over 20 years but kept the land as sacred. Our land is currently in the open space act which allows us to have lower taxes but we are still struggling as a family to pay the increasing costs.
My mother & I are teachers, my brother a social worker, we are putting all our funds together to keep our family home and need the extra cash to keep our 30 acres that serves local wildlife as a habitat & home, safe. Thank you for reading & donating.
