We are currently raising money to repair and rebuild the existing playground at the Feria!
This project includes adding in a simple (but effective) drainage system, proper ground material, complete restoration of the current functioning playground and demolition of the broken playground with a complete new build in its place! 💪

About Sámara Play
Sámara Play was born out of necessity — many many families with young children come to visit Sámara year round from all over the world and our playgrounds are in dire need of some repair, love and maintenance!
Unfortunately, the playgrounds of Sámara are lower on the list of priorities for the municipality and when they do get built (if they do) the maintenance is commonly missing, leaving the playgrounds in rough and sometimes dangerous shape!
Sámara Play is committed to preforming monthly up-keep to the playgrounds in Sámara to keep them functioning and safe for our children!
Sámara Play works in collaboration with:
- Jungle Cats which is a sister non-profit, co-op driven organization in Sámara which provides project based, culturally rich education to children aged 5-10 years. The co-op offers their physical support in volunteering their skills and time to help with maintaining the playgrounds in and around Sámara.
- CREAR which is a local non-profit which provides supplementary educational, recreational and career opportunities to members of the rural beach communities surrounding Playa Sámara.
- The Healing Hands Foundation which supports us with project donation matching! Every donation Sámara Play receives is DOUBLED by the Healing Hands Foundation!
