Friday
5pm - 7pm - Meet at highway to sign waivers, convoy up the mountain, set up camp
- 45 minute walk up with gear shuttle
- Car camping optional for extra $25 (Limited space)
7pm - Welcome hugs, introductions, grounding meditation
- Dinner provided
9pm - Campfire if permitted
Saturday
8am - Breakfast Provided
10am - Welcome to the land, acknowledgement, orientation and sanctuary tour
- Listen to the forest exercise & sharing
12pm - Lunch Provided
1 pm - Workshop with Ben Barclay
- Theory and practice of healing a clear-cut back to an old
growth forest. Please bring a ~ 1 gallon plant pot and trowel. We
will be transplanting trees and soil from Old Growth to the clearcut.
3:30 pm - Free Time - Explore & Integrate.
5pm - DINNER Provided
7pm - Music, Dancing & Celebration!
Sunday
8am - Group Movement and Meditation

10am - Hike to Lyle Lakes ( packed lunch provided )

About the Eastern Sun Sanctuary
In 2009, Brothers Dustin, Braden and cousin Joel purchased a private 57 acre clear-cut (Near Retallack BC) with a goal creating micro hydro on Lyle creek, a cabin gardens and discovering innovative mountain living. Braden and Joel built the Brennan Lodge complete with Micro hydro, hot tub, in floor heat and incredible views. The Brennan Lodge is now rented out as a back country ski lodge and retreat space. The Eastern Sun Sanctuary was inspired by Dustin’s vision to create a space for meditation and healing in nature. We are realizing that this land is a sanctuary for the animals, plants, trees and all the organisms. We are a stand for the best forest practices and stewarding this land to give back to nature and leave a legacy for the children.
